Stereotypical Images of Ukrainians and Russians in a HumanitarianCrisis: Multicultural Perspectives

RESEARCH OBJECTIVE: This article aims to map the stereotypical image of Ukrainians and Russians from a cross-cultural perspective in context ongoing armed conflict.
 PROBLEM AND METHODS: The research problem concerns cultural differences that are revealed perception representatives two nationalities involved conflict. Since judgements most often language, an adjective check list was used for study. A sample 92 Polish Slovenian students took part collected linguistic material analyse compare about Ukrainian Russian citizens.
 THE PROCESS OF ARGUMENTATION: argument begins with theoretical perspectives on concept stereotyping process stereotyping. role language is analysed. An analysis results conclusions presented.
 RESEARCHRESULTS: In general, attribute fewer positive adjectives than both Russians. significant statistical as well similarities between researched groups terms Russians.
 CONCLUSIONS, INNOVATIONS, RECOMMENDATIONS: Empirical evidence shows have more common their Russians, while they perceive quite differently. characteristics obtained this study provide general insight into perceptions war.
